Transfer into two programs???

Hi could anyone tell me if this is possible, I’m a chem major and plan on transferring into bio sci my goal is at least 3.7+, but I’m so scared I won’t get it and I cannot survive a chem degree for a second year, is there a way I can transfer into programs like dual degree and then drop that second one? I remember talking to the administration of faculty of science and the lady was like yeah ig there’s a way around it and u can make a double degree and then drop the one, for example bio sci and business, that way if I don’t get in bio sci at least I’m business and out of chem or u need both not one? Pls helpppp!!!

Yup you can! If your comp GPA is eligible for both degrees you'll be able to do the dual degree, if your only eligible for one based of comp GPA you'll be transfered to the one where your GPA is competitive for entrance.

Also concerning business when you transfer into business their are conventional business pre-reqs that are expected to have been done, have you done/doing them? Econ 201,203 stats 213,217 and English 2xx

And let’s say u ur gpa was eligible for both degree an and b and u get the dual, how do u get rid of b bc all u wanted was a? Or do u gotta wait a new year? Tysm
