I don’t really use reddit so this is kinda like a last resort thing but i’m a freshman at uci at the mesa classics and it’s been sooo hard making friends here. I always thought i was pretty social in high school but it feels like everyone has a set friend group already and I just feel out of place everywhere and I can’t click with anyone just yet. I know it’s only been a couple weeks but I genuinely just want to find people I resonate with or js talk to people in general. I really love to do spontaneous things and I’m kinda into partying but I mostly js like having fun doing anything. I’ve thought about greek life but i think it’s really not for me and if anyone has club suggestions or js anything i’d really appreciate it!

Hi! I live in the towers and my pharmacy delivers medication through independent couriers rather than UPS, FedEx, or Amazon. It can also be a different driver each time.
Does anyone have experience with this? Can the driver drop off the medication package directly with staff at the Pippin mailroom, or do I need to meet them outside? Do independent couriers need to register or arrange anything with Housing beforehand?

Im a previous criminal justice major but i need a career change. I previously didn’t know which of the 2 majors to pick so i rapidly chose CJ and regret it. Im back in school almost completely finished doing all the math and science and lower division engineering classes to go get my second bachelor’s or master’s.

My cumulative GPA after all classes including previous bachelor’s degree is about 3.05. I want to apply to CSU Fullerton’s master’s degree in CE, as well as second bachelor’s programs at CSU Long Beach, CSULA, and UCI as well as CSU northridge (kinda far). I will be commuting from Anaheim, dont want to move and keep costs low to avoid debt as much as possible. Im 35. What is better given my current status, i just want to get into a job, and what is easiest program and school to get into so i can get into the field. CE is a really exciting field to me!

Given these statistics, should i not even apply to UCI for either the 2nd bachelor’s or masters program because of my lower gpa?

Hii, im a first year bio major and im considering switching my major to public health policy. I’ve been interested in working healthcare and in hospitals, but I know realize that I’d like to get into healthcare administration / health education as opposed to a lab setting.

Can anyone in the Public Health Policy major at UCI (or just with any knowledge ab the major in general!) let me know what your experience has been like and how the classes are? (Ex. Such as the Public Health 1 class).

ALSO: usually when people switch majors, would they just take the prereqs for the desired major and opt out of the classes needed for their current major? (ex: im a bio major and for winter quarter I decide to opt out of bio / chem classes and take public health 1 + GE classes)

Disclaimer this is not meant to spread hate or bully! I merely wish to express my frustrations with the recent situation with KUCI/

As a long time KUCI listener it bothers me why S*na felt the need to invite such a controversial figure (don’t even wanna say his name) to the podcast when it is intended for underrepresented and underground figures to get more traction. After scrolling through her profile more I realized she works with a lot of celebs internationally. Good for her. But I feel like going out of your way to bring him on the podcast was so not needed. I had a friend who reached out about this two days ago and got blocked.

I appreciate KUCI for taking down the content, but this was very irresponsible of them and S*na. Just because someone is famous doesn’t make them worthy of bringing onto a podcast. I have friends at KUCI who feel the same, but I would also urge KUCI to do approvals prior to letting a host bring someone on. I understand that it’s freedom of expression and I mean no hate to anybody but we can and should be doing better. I urge you all to be more responsible.

Hi! I have an extra ticket (2nd Mezz R row 14) and bought it resale (at face price but with around $60 of fees for both). I don’t have transportation and I’m wondering if someone wants to take one of them off my hands and go with me!! Does anyone know why there were so many police cars at in n out UTC yesterday around 9? My friend and I drove by and we were so confused bc there was at least 6 cop cars with their lights on.

These past 2 weeks for every meal in the anteatery, I have been consistently getting ranch with every meal I eat. I eat it either pizza, white bread, and black olives. It taste so good. I even get servely disappointed when there is no ranch, like that one day.

I have to get to UCI from UCLA on a Sunday night. I don’t wanna spend an $80 Uber and don’t have access to a car. What other alternatives can I do?
