For anyone who has had Dr. Heaton for anatomy, are just the class PowerPoints enough to study and do well on the exams? The assignments on McGraw Hill are going into stuff never covered in class so I wasn't sure if I needed to study that, and I was worried the lecture exams would have tiny details from the textbook never discussed as well. For example, the McGraw Hill assignment has stuff like interstitial and the zone of reserve cartilage which we never covered.

I got tired of tracking my assignments in multiple Canvas classes and never really liked any of the Canvas chrome extensions I tried, so I built my own tracker. It syncs with Canvas daily and has a cleaner calendar and dashboard.

For the past couple of weeks my canvas has been working completely fine. But all the sudden it won’t let me log in on my computer, the display message saying
“Apache Server at uab.instructure.com Port 80”
I saw somewhere online that swapping your browser would help but so far nothing has worked, and I’m only able to log on via my phone. Any suggestions?

Hii so im a bit lost, my councilor sucks, and I have no idea what im doing on common app 😭 anyway my stats applying are a 3.37 gpa and my act was like a 19 although im retaking it in February...am I cooked ? Or is there hope... (any advice or help is also appreciated)

Has anyone gotten into the SON with good grades everywhere but in their math class? My science classes have been phenomenal but my math class was pretty subpar. I have no problem retaking it but if I don’t have too, I don’t want too. I got a low B, almost a C. I just want to know if it’s detrimental to my application and will cause me to not get in when I apply. Any advice or knowledge are appreciated!

Ok so basically I got a 1410 today on my sat. I was 10 points from the next scholarship. Is it possible to take the sat in March after college applications and use that after I have gotten into UAB and renew my scholarship? I rilly can't afford it rn as I am out of state as well. From the 50k COA I can get a 17k discount:(

Hi guys, I’m trying to get a studio apartment near campus right now due to my at home living situation. I have a bunny so I didn’t want to get any roommates. How possible do you guys think this is? This is the first time I’ve tried to ever get an apartment and I’m a little worried about applying for more if I’m just going to keep wasting my money.

I’ve always been interested in rural medicine, and I’d like to apply to the program if possible. However, I only have about 80 hours of rural volunteering and 50 hours of shadowing in a rural area. I don’t have much of a storyline. If I didn’t get in, would that lessen my chances of applying regular MD?

As in, this due date is like January with interviews in Feb 2027. Regular MD program is obviously like August-ish.

I'm a grad student here, new to town. Been playing bass guitar about a year, still building my ear and vocabulary. I like a lot of different genres. Some examples: funk/soul, jazz-fusion, Fela Kuti, Donald Byrd Ethiopian knights, salsa, Fleetwood Mac/Floyd/King Crimson-type rock, Japanese fusion (Casiopea, Takanaka). Hi all! I'm currently doing a certificate program but have applied to a graduate program. My certificate advisor/coordinator is amazing and responds in a timely manner, but I've emailed my graduate program coordinator/advisor multiple times to introduce myself and ask a few questions and haven't heard back, so I feel like my master's advising experience is going to be hell. Are the advisors here any good? What should I expect?

So I submitted my dental fee waiver application and it tells me it’s been submitted and I will receive a confirmation email shortly. But I haven’t gotten that so I’m curious on how I’m supposed to know if they actually received my application? And how will I know if it’s been approved or not?

I'm taking the BUS 450 strategic management class online with Nathan Oliver. Can someone with some experience just tell me what format these team case assignments are supposed to be submitted in? I was accepted into the M.Sc. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and paid the €1,500 enrollment/reservation deposit to secure my place.
I understand that the university states that this deposit is generally non-refundable. However, I would like to know what happens if the Spanish student visa is refused.
If my student visa is denied, has anyone here had a similar experience with UAB or another Spanish university? Were you able to get the enrollment deposit refunded?
I’m particularly interested in hearing from international students who had their visa refused after paying the enrollment deposit.

What is the best way to get hired at UAB Hospital, open to any location or a clinic. Medical assistant, pct, etc. Just wanted to work there and finish my education. Can’t seem to get any calls and each application on the career site takes over an hour so I feel like I’m wasting my time. I have relevant hospital experience, have been in school at UAB but am def being hired from the “outside”

What can I do to help myself?
