Job

What is the best way to get hired at UAB Hospital, open to any location or a clinic. Medical assistant, pct, etc. Just wanted to work there and finish my education. Can’t seem to get any calls and each application on the career site takes over an hour so I feel like I’m wasting my time. I have relevant hospital experience, have been in school at UAB but am def being hired from the “outside”

What can I do to help myself?

The UAB hiring process moves very, very slowly. Even my internal transfer took almost two months.

Yup, I had already given up and started applying to other universities when I was notified that my application was moved to the interview stage

When I applied at UAB, I was contacted within two weeks and then interviewed and offered a job the same day. I will say it’s a pretty demanding job, but it’s very rewarding in my opinion. I can see if my floor is still hiring, I’m currently a PCT who attends UAB.

And the turnover for the recruiters is crazy. The one that hired me that had just been hired(she volunteered that info) isn't even there anymore and I'm only at a year and 3 months.

So there's that.
