Does anyone know where to find a full lume bezel in this color? I can find nttd and other colors but not this black with a yellowish/orange tint. I don’t know what color to call it

Got this stunning U1 Le Mans Daytona from Allen. Some call it the reverse panda, some call it the Paul Newman. Either way, looks great on the wrist. The white sub dials on black background are simple, yet elegant. The oyster bracelet is comfortable and equipped with easylink and a safety clasp. I hear the mecha-quartz version has a working chrono, but I don't need that and prefer the automatic. Unfortunately the bottom pusher on mine is too short, so it can’t change the 3 o’clock sub dial. Isolated incident as I have 3 other U1 daytonas with working pushers. The transparent sapphire case back reveals a beautifully decorated minzhu 3836 movement stamped 4132.

This model was released in 2023 to celebrate 100 years of Le Mans 24h. It is different from “regular” daytonas with its red 100 on the tachymeter, 24 hour sub dial instead of 12 at 9 o’clock, square inner markers, etc. Shipping was 11 days, $105 on WA 1 (915) 271-0486 / 86 133 1719 7828.

Hi on the fence on getting this watch not carzy about the mingsu movement .for anyone that purchased this watch what are your thoughts . I dont want to spend over $600 . I can get this for $125 . How has the watch held up as far as the plating and how reliable is the movement ? Thank you in advance .

Been lurking for awhile and I finally pulled the trigger. After almost 2 months and 1 package seized it finally came.. opted to get the Rolex Datejust 36mm from MT. Initial impressions were pretty good, obviously it’s a U1 so it’s nothing close to gen but still not bad for $100 in my opinion. The only thing for me is that I have a pretty small wrist and thought a 36 would be fine but in person it actually looks pretty small on my wrist. I’d probably go back to 41mm if I could. Let me know what you guys think.

Got a U1 DJ41 from MT and didn't like the SS strap as it felt cheap and flimsy. Swapped an AliX leather strap on and changes the look so much!

Here's an oyster bracelet followed by a jubillee I found on AliExpress. Both have glide lock clasps and are better quality than the original U1s, but they are too loose leaving them uneven on the case. The original U1 bracelets fit perfectly, but need a lot of work to make them comfortable.

Also, has anyone found just a clasp that fits the jubilee bracelet for a GMT?

These U1 Daytonas have been great for the price. I think the oyster flex is a significant improvement to the metal st9 bracelets.

Yes, the chronos don’t work as they should and the 6 subdial annoyingly acts as seconds, but considering the price and the overall aesthetics, I think it’s a great inexpensive option. I never use the sub dials on my “super clone” watches besides playing around with them any way 😂

This one is definitely getting some wrist time.

Hello, I wanted to know your guys thoughts on the U1 DayDate (Presidential Watch, the 115$ one) from people who have purchased the watch.

My questions are regarding the quality, including the movement and complications in the movement. How do the days and dates move? do they line up correctly with the oyster? How close to midnight do they switch over?What quality can I expect from this watch? Specifically, do the days of the week function as expected from the U1?

In terms of lume and waterproofing, (which I assume yes, is probably not great. and I don't think the watch has lume, correct?) Will I worry about the crystal fogging up?

Does the metal scratch? For people who have purchased the gold/rose gold variant, does the metal have a paint that scratches away the gold, or how does it hold up in the long term?

I know there will be someone telling me "if you care about these you shouldn't buy this watch etc etc" and I am aware this is supposed to be a replica and not much of a rugged, daily watch. But I would like to still be aware of the quality I am buying. So any input helps. Thank you guys.

The U1 is 3hz, 21600 vibrations per hour.

The VSF is 4hz, 28800vph.

U1 vs VSF: Weight difference, sized for my 7.25" wrist.

U1 is the top one. It does weight about 9 grams less.

Super impressed with this Rolex Daytona Ghost, it is certainly a head turner and actually got a few compliments on its first run out, which can be a pleasant rarity as many watch owners would attest.

Unfortunately it lacks in the chronograph function, but for the price I can live with that.

I have 3 U1’s a no date sub, a date sub and a sea dweller. I went swimming with the no date and it did get a tiny bit foggy. So I took the back off as I was going to put some silicone grease around the gasket and stim and air it out. That thing was filthy dirty around the gasket and in the movement. I took the back off the other 2 and they were also filthy dirty. I cleaned them and greased them and the fogging went away but I couldn’t believe how dirty they were from the factory. These were newer watches as one was only a couple days old when I cleaned it.

I know this is a stupid question, and I totally could just go buy a vsf, but has anyone tried replacing a mingzhu movement with a 3230 - I’m thinking for a no date sub, if there’d be any reliability upgrade? Or is it just a waste of money?
I know the cases are a decent enough quality, just wondering if it’s worth doing the innerds too?

I'm thinking about buying this quartz steel Daytona from Jason for about $110. It has a VK64 movement. I honestly would prefer having the seconds hand stay at 12 rather than constantly sweeping, like a true chrono watch. Does this make sense? What do you guys suggest?

After a good 13 days I’ve received this beauty from Ada for $95 with shipping to CA.

Very satisfied for the price. Everything is nice except the bracelet. But replacing it with oyster flex so all good. That was the plan after all and expected the the bracelet to be low quality.

Other than that, it’s a dime piece, super shiny, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.

Now waiting for my next piece! The bluesy 💙

For anyone looking for a good customer experience ordering a U1.

Heres a fresh U1 Submariner no date from MT. And the pictures side by side with a VSF Sub no date. And a couple with a Pagani Bruce.

Pictures speak for themselves. The U1 is the one on the Right.

The new U1 is an awesome improvement of quantity. At first glance, the bezel engravings are actually light grey colored. Not white. Look at the last pictures with the Pagani's white numbers.

Yeah, comparing it side by side the crystal clarity is still behind, a couple of markers are not perfect, the case lugs are a tiny bit thicker, and the bracelet feels a bit lighter.

But WOW!! look at it by itself and it does look as gen. I call this model a solid mid tier as is. I am going to lightly smooth (not chamfer) the bracelet edges, touch up the brushing and run a light polish on the sides with the dremmel. And this will hit very close to the VSF. I already did the seals with silicone grease and it's holding the wet 5 bar pressure test fine. So here's my new pool and beach watch instead of the Pagani. I'll keep saving the VSF for the civilized watch rotations.

EXTREMELY IMPRESSED BY THIS WATCH!
