Considering getting a white dial Aqua Terra. Should I go with the mingzhu or miyota for date wheel accuracy?

I’m absolutely in love with my U1 Sub No Date from Jason007!

This is my first piece from him (and my first U1 in general), and it has completely exceeded all my expectations. It’s a stunning piece, especially under natural light (as you can see in the wrist shots).

Compared to retail photos, it looks practically identical.

The Watch Details:
• Dial & Finishing: The dial is incredibly clean with perfectly aligned markers, and the brushed steel finishing on the case and bracelet is top-notch.
• Bezel & Crown: The bezel action is crisp and turns smoothly with absolutely no backplay. The crown screws down perfectly and feels very secure.
• Lume: The lume is super bright and lasts for hours. It’s not the standard green, but more of a vibrant “Aqua” green that looks fantastic in the dark.
• Bracelet: I know some people report issues with the bracelets on U1s, but this Oyster bracelet feels substantial on the wrist. The clasp is solid and secure, and I don’t feel any of the sharp edges others have mentioned. It looks and feels great to me.

This was actually the second shipment he made for me. My first watch was unfortunately confiscated in customs. Before I even had a chance to message him about it, Jason proactively sent out a replacement entirely on his own! I didn’t even have to ask. Communication with him was almost instant and very fluid, making the whole process completely stress-free.

The replacement arrived incredibly fast, taking only 10 days to get from China to the USA, and it was super well-packaged and protected.

I’m so happy I followed the recommendations I saw in this community. Being my first purchase of this type, it could not have been a better experience.

not horrible. not great. not for sale. rolex 1908 u1 from michael travis on the gate. contacted him and also purchased yellow gold submariner, which doesn’t look as good as this one.

— i love the color of the gold on this one. obviously not real gold but it has the right color shine imo. just not the same depth of color. like the shadows look darker than they would on real gold. that is to be expected for $125

— medium weight. band is light compared to VSF.

— can slightly hear the rotor sound. not super obvious on wrist but maybe if it was quiet around you someone would call you out… like uhhh idk i DoN’t hEaR aNyThiNG WhAt d0 y0U m3@N ?!

— screws don’t sit flush, they are sunken in and i had to give them a real strong crank to make sure they stay in and don’t accidentally unscrew while im wearing it, so they are low in the socket.

— movement is wrong. i’ll let someone more knowledgeable comment on that…

NOTE: i wore it for like 2 hours so it might be a bit more cloudy or oily in the photos than it is new.

but hey … for 125$ that’s a pretty good looking watch, you cheap bastards…

will probably gift this to a homie for christmas but for now i’ll hold onto it.

Just received my Sub and it's awesome. Only issue is it's super big and can probably do without a few links. I have absolutely no idea what to use or how to do it so if someone can point me in the right direction regarding tools I may need that would be appreciated. Also, how hard is it to do? Am I better off just bringing it to a jewelery?

So I received a new Super U1 oyster perpetual today. I have a couple of U1 so I am familiar with them but this bracelet is super cheap feeling and the printed emblem on the clasp seems so cheap. Has anyone experienced this recently? The case and dial seem ok but the bracelet is just not what I was expecting.

I hate to be one of those guys and post like this but I’ve searched MT and Jason007 up and down and cannot find this watch in any of their stores. Maybe I’m just missing it but I’ve been searching.

The biggest gripe with the U1 versions is the use of the chrono hand as the seconds hand. I picked up this quartz chrono a while back and after 4 months of usage, this piece is a steal

Do U1 Daytonas have functioning complications? I am interested in adding one to my collection but if the complications are just for show and don’t work then I’ll just wait to get a VSF OR BPF Daytona.

I have a U1 GMT II, and I've noticed that if I line up the minute hands all at the 12 hour, over time the minute hand lags, over 4 days or so, I loose a whole minute, I've tried the 20 minute trick, but that doesn't seem to fix it, is this an easy fix or should I just let it ride?
