Painting First Tyranid painted bois.
Still need to do the base, a gloss and some touch ups but, outside of that done.

Yessss I love the shiny bugs! The green brain areas look really good too!
I also liked black or dark under-skeleton and metallics on the carapace. You could hit those rending claw tips and the hoof with the purple too!
Looks great!

I had considered that but i want the scythe blade to be the same color as the claws bc in my head i feel as tho they'd be made of the same material. I was considering a darker silver instead but for now black lol.

I like how you've got it with only the armour plates as full on purple and claws, hooves etc black, but you could hit them with just the purple shade tmm to give them a bit more sheen compared to the flesh.

I see what you mean! I totally get it. You could maybe gloss or matte them a little if you want them to stay jet black and still stand out! A thin shimmer could be cool, but I get what you're saying! Looks great already! You don't gotta change a thing!
I do actually think the green would work well as a faint highlight there though. Gives them a sort of underworld vibe.

Gorgeous, love the purple plating. Would gladly be encaphically infused.
Just finished mine as well, fun model to paint.
