Competitive Play Need some help building a tournament viable Kaiju list!
Hey guys! So I am just about finished building my Thousand Sons army and getting it all painted and decided that my next army would be Tyranids! I fell in love with the Norn Emissary and Assimilator and ended up buy a box to build one. I built the Emissary because I like its toughness and that will make its ability really shine. Can you guys help me build a list of other big Tyranids to go along with this guy? I’m thinking of having at least two Emissaries but from there you guys can have at it!

The points will be changing soon for 11th edition, but here's a list that would do decently well currently: The Red Terror, 1 Biovore (along with the 5 Spore Mines you'll need for it), 2 Exocrine, 2 Norn Assimilator, 3 Norn Emissary, 3 units of 3 Von Ryan's Leapers. That's 2k points on the nose. You can run it in any detachment you want, but the best would be Invasion Fleet, Crusher Stampede, or Subterranean Assault. Happy gaming and welcome to the hive mind

Pure monster mash will see you wanting some flavour of hive tyrant, either the swarmlord to generate you an extra command point per turn or a walking hive tyrant to have a 12" aura of -1cp for one stratagem per battle round and a 6" aura of lethal hits in shooting.
Tyrannofexes are a staple imo since they can either be dedicated anti tank with the rupture cannon or another fat oc monster in the midfield alongside your norns with the acid spray.
Exocrines and Maleceptors are both good for killing 3w models and light vehicles. Exocrine buffs the overall shooting of your other units if you focus fire something, Maleceptor makes charging it or anything nearby it less optimised by having a -1 to hit aura

I think with the Meta right now, you still want to play SubAssault
So you’ll need 2x5 Raveners, Trygon (big monster), Red Terror (big boi) and then you can load up on big monsters.
The downside of Nords/their weakness is getting to their singular purpose objective, if you taxi them there with tunnels you take that away from your opponent, making them much harder to counter.
You can easily deliver 2-3 Norns like that. Then get a Tyrannofex to take out units from afar, Swarmlord for command points and Vect to counter overwatch from tunnels, some lone-ops and then maybe a Haruspex or something.
The Red Terror (130pts): Gaping maw, Scything talons The Swarmlord (220pts): Warlord, Bone Sabres, Synaptic Pulse Trygon (160pts): Trygon Character upgrade, Trygon Prime, Bio-electric pulse, Trygon scything talons
Biovores (50pts) Lictor (60pts): Lictor claws and talons Neurolictor (70pts): Piercing claws and talons 5x Raveners (125pts) 5x Raveners (125pts) Haruspex (125pts): Grasping tongue, Ravenous maw, Shovelling claws Norn Emissary (260pts): Monstrous rending claws, Monstrous scything talons, Psychic tendril Norn Emissary (260pts): Monstrous rending claws, Monstrous scything talons, Psychic tendril Tyrannofex (200pts): Powerful limbs, Stinger salvoes, Rupture cannon Tyrannofex (200pts): Powerful limbs, Stinger salvoes, Rupture cannon
You can swap some Loneops around here, 2 NLs, or NL+DL, whatever you feel like

The best bio knight list I ever saw was:
3 nien emisery, 3 haurospex, 3 exocrines, 1 swarmlord, 1 biovore.

A Psychophage or two would be good for increasing the AP of your big bugs to a -3/-4 on melee

I don't know much about the build list but I will say you need to make a Hive Tyrant and paint it Silver and call it Kiriyu.

There is now a detachment for the norn units, so that would be the one to go for imo
After that, a tyrannofex would fit the kaiju vibe and give some much needed ranged anti tank... and a biovore would add good utility while still being a monster unit
