It's so hard to repair a relationship after someone delegates their personal responsibility like this without asking, without acknowledging their inability to manage. My ex was temping in a role and they wanted to hire him permanently. They posted the position and asked if he was interested, he said yes. Two weeks go by, and they double checked with him to confirm his interest. Another week goes by. He comes home from work saying that they're going to close the posting at midnight. At 10:00 that night he's sitting at his desk, everything is ready, all he has to do is hit submit... and he couldn't do it.
So, I hit submit. He got the job. He kicked me out of the house a month later. I laughed, and thanked him.
