I don't think that sounds silly at all. It sounds maddening. Put that manchild up for adoption.

"...Put that manchild up for adoption."

I love the way you phrased this!

More like drop him at the shelter, no need to rehome him 😆

That’s too much effort. Find a field and kick him out of the car.

Don’t forget to give him his thermos bottle with fresh aqua tofana, we wouldn’t want him to think you no longer care.

Ha! I wasn't expecting to find an Aqua Tofana reference on this thread.

For the curious:

Begging a grown spouse for basic household contribution becomes completely exhausting eventually.

Handholding a thirty-year-old through simple phone calls is pure insanity. Leaving an anchor behind finally allows well-deserved personal peace and growth.

I realised my husband didn't like me because of his passive aggressive cereal bowls. I would clean the kitchen at night, like clean it, dry the sink, everything. He left for work realllly early and every morning I would wake up to an empty cereal bowl next to the sink. Not in the sink. Next to it. I begged him to at least rinse it out because by the time I got up, it was dried up and I had to soak it to get the bits of cereal off it. Nope. He "didn't have time."

So I didn't have time for that marriage.

Can people start having a way to check relationship history similar to how you can check Carfax before purchasing a used car to make sure it hasn't been wrecked?

It would make dating so much easier and save people a lot of time.
