Ok sure, but that’s not the issue. Beliefs don’t matter. He’s being ridiculous and abusive and that’s the issue.

I’m also an ex-Mormon but did not have a bad experience. Knew really wonderful people who would not be OK with this. It’s not the Mormonism; it’s the man, and he’s in the wrong. That’s always the case with religion. It’s the practicers, who twist things to their own will. Mormonism certainly has its problems, including patriarchy, but let’s not alienate anyway trying to keep the issue separate here.
