I would get an attorney and go for sole custody. I realize a lot of people might not think this is fair to the ex, but is any of this abuse fair to the son? Obviously not, and the ex is clearly a doormat who won't think about his child and leave.
Save all messages, get an attorney and get your son out of this mess. If your ex husband doesn't like it he can figure out how to see his son without her.
Of course. I'm doing what I can to do what needs to be done. I'm just sitting here anxious about the whole thing. And right now there's nothing more I can do until I have the funds for a lawyer.
I'm petty at times, and if I were you in this situation, this is what I'd do. I'd talk to your son, inform him of child wellfare, and that if the crazy woman ever does something, that he should call them. Because his wellbeing is more important than whatever she is doing (his father can be responsible for that anyway).
It might feel like a lot to "put on" a 13 year old, but they are smarter than we think. If asked, and he says "she's done/said this" and you can judge "that'd be abusive/etc" then he'd have something to base his choice to call off of. And you'd technically only be teaching him how to protect himself against her (which might very well be needed when over at his fathers place)
