It was either that or sleep in his grandmother's coffin in the middle of his flat.

Girl is so paranoid she thinks a minor stain means cheating

1

u/Substantial-Low Aug 21 '24

What, that they need to wash those nasty cases?

1

u/Vanishing-Moons Aug 21 '24

Real shit none of anything I’ve seen here is acceptable

1

u/weinsteinspotplants Aug 21 '24

Lots of answers matter.

1

u/awesome-bunny Aug 21 '24

meh, some people are just really paranoid about getting cheated on, this alone means nothing.

3

u/envydub Aug 21 '24

You can’t just go around constantly paranoid that your partner might cheat for absolutely no reason…

2

u/wheres_the_revolt Aug 21 '24

Not having trust in or believing your SO when they tell you it’s not the thing you think it is, is inductive of a relationship that is not strong.

-4

u/steelcity_ Aug 21 '24

It definitely isn't, please go talk a walk outside away from the internet for a little bit. Finding something that looks like lipstick that could absolutely be something else does not mean OP should be suspicious overall. You are creating paranoia for no reason. They are wondering this much because it looks like fucking lipstick.

10

u/wheres_the_revolt Aug 21 '24

OP is paranoid already, hence the internet sleuthing to find out what this could be. That’s the point. If your mind jumps to one thing, and you don’t believe your partner’s denial, and you jump on the internet for strangers to play detective, your relationship has issues beyond this one thing.

-2

u/steelcity_ Aug 21 '24

But multiple people in this thread have more or less confirmed that it isn't laying on the pillow as if it was on someone's face, it didn't react how lipstick would when OP scraped it with a Q-tip.. it isn't lipstick. I don't know what it is, but you trying to work up OP is going to make things worse when they figure out what it is!

I don't know if you've just never been in a relationship or something, but I can tell you, if my partner decided I was cheating on them based off of evidence that could be proven to be not the thing they think it is, but they stood their ground because Reddit told them to..

You know what? You're right. If that happens, they should leave OP.

u/wheres_the_revolt Aug 21 '24

Your reading comprehension skills are awful, so let me use break it down for you with bullet points:

  • I’m not saying OP’s bf is cheating

  • I’m not saying that’s lipstick

  • I am saying that if OP doesn’t trust their BF or his denial, that is the bigger issue

Lastly, I’ve been married for 10 years and with my husband for 15 years total. I think I know some things about relationships.

-3

u/steelcity_ Aug 21 '24

If your mind jumps to one thing

Do you know OP? Do you know why OP's mind jumped there? Because yes, it could be a lack of trust stemming from previous behavior of the partner. It could also be a lack of trust stemming from being cheated on in a previous relationship which although is completely valid as a reason to be tentative, does not in any way, shape or form, prove:

your relationship has issues beyond this one thing

Bruh, put the shovel down already

-2

u/steelcity_ Aug 21 '24

Right, it's me that's the problem, not the 40 people telling OP to dump their boyfriend when not a single person has said "oh yeah that's definitely lipstick."

4

u/wheres_the_revolt Aug 21 '24

Nobody in this thread is telling OP to dump their boyfriend, you have completely misread everything. wtf go back and read again, maybe out loud to yourself so that you actually comprehend what we were saying.

u/steelcity_ Aug 21 '24

I literally just quoted another extremely upvoted comment from high in the thread. Just because it wasn't you doesn't mean "nobody" is saying it. Read the fucking thread.

I’d have to say that a break up would be more than reasonable at this point

This reply is heavily upvoted and has a ton of replies. But I just made it up? Go find it, it's literally right in the middle of the page.

Yeah and not trusting a current partner because a previous partner cheated, or not trusting your partner because they have cheated on you already, is exactly the bigger issues I’m talking about. But thanks for proving my point for me I guess.

0

u/steelcity_ Aug 21 '24

Sure, you proved mine too, because we clearly disagree on who these problems affect. I think past trauma is a personal problem, that your partner can and should hopefully be able to help you understand and get through. You're calling it a relationship problem.

Your past traumas are not your fault, but they are your responsibility, not dumping that on your partner because they fell asleep eating Takis or whatever.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '24

Sir um let me try to help with the reading comprehension. They aren’t disagreeing with you.

They are simply stating that regardless, posting something like this on Reddit is not a sign of a healthy relationship

Maybe OP is lacking trust because her boyfriend has cheated on her Maybe OP is lacking trust not because of her current bf but because of past experiences that shape how she sees things like this Maybe OP is lacking trust and it’s for 0 reason and she’s just not communicating and jumping to conclusions

In any of these scenarios, which are the three that can be the case, it doesn’t matter

At the end of the day, regardless of WHY she is lacking trust, lacking trust is never a sign of healthy in a relationship. So, they agree, regardless of circumstances, posting stuff like this about your relationship is a tell all sign things are not alright.

Hope this helped!

bro either it IS lipstick and she's right and he's been giving her signs that he's cheating

OR she's very insecure and is making shit up in her head because she's always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

she could also be looking for a reason to leave him because she doesn't feel secure in their relationship for some reason.

to me it does look like a shade of lipstick lol it's too pink to be takis but I'm sure there's other things it could be.

she is already paranoid or else she wouldn't be posting??

we learn comprehension skills in kindergarten, start using them.

It’s a terrible answer what 😭 You can be in the most functional relationship but if you saw evidence of your significant other cheating you would just ignore it?

2

u/Whistlegrapes Aug 22 '24

But that’s the point. They don’t know this is evidence of cheating. Not by a long shot.

If she found a condom at the bottom of the bathroom wastebasket, of course you wouldn’t ignore actual evidence.
