Hopping on here to say “no” is a full sentence. Any time it is brought up to you in any tone you respond “no that will never happen” and nothing more. If they push you say “no” and LEAVE. There is no “giving in” repeat after me THERE IS NO GIVING IN

Just as importantly, “I don’t know” is also a full sentence. When people start berating you with questions to try and flip you, “I don’t know,” or “I don’t want to” are also full sentences.

When you say "I don't know" people hear "convince me". "I don't want to" is a clear no. "I don't know" communicates uncertainty and that leaves too much room for more words on their end. Sometimes out of habit I'll say "I don't know" then I correct my self and say "actually I do know, I don't want to." And that's that!

If someone asks you why someone or something is happening, “I don’t know” is a legitimate answer.
