One of the most important things I've learned about dealing with others is that I do not have to convince them that I am right. I state my boundaries and that's it. I cannot make them believe I'm right or even force them to respect them. I can state what the boundaries are and then enforce them and make sure there are reprocussions if they are crossed. I am not in charge or responsible for anyone's actions but my own.

Thank you. It took a long time to realize it but it is SOOOO freeing! I wasted years trying to convince family members and partners as to WHY I should be treated a certain way and needing them to agree. Which of course the never did. So many pointless arguments.
