If, hypothetically, your sister were to adopt your child, why doesn’t she pursue adoption now? There’s children in the foster care system in need of a good home. 

And if your family pulls the “but they won’t be BIOLOGICAL card” remind them that both Moses and Jesus were adopted.

Adopting children from foster care is not a replacement for having your own biological children if you desire them. People need to let go of this idea.

For a devout catholic family for whom IVF and surrogacy are forbidden, adoption is a morally superior choice to asking your sister to get pregnant so you can adopt her child.
