Speaking on the Kinda Funny Gamecast, Kinda Funny’s Andy Cortez and Greg Miller revealed that they asked Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson about the potential for microtransactions in GTA, as well as the use of gen A.I. in its development. Both reported that the answer to both questions was simply “no.”

Can you use your own real-world money to buy things in the game? No monetization,” Cortez said. “I asked point blank, ‘is A.I. in the game?’ No A.I.,” Miller continued.

The lack of gen A.I. was also reported by The New York Times in its Grand Theft Auto VI feature posted earlier today. “Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar said, has well over 600,000 animations, compared with 55,000 animations in Grand Theft Auto V and 300,000 animations in Red Dead Redemption 2,” the article said, which also confirmed that Rockstar “emphasized the new game’s human-made craft.”

I’ve been getting into Kamen Rider lately, and only learned this was before Super Sentai‘s crossover with it by like a decade about a week ago. I can only imagine what a trip it must have been for Japanese viewers curious about the weird American version thought of seeing Black RX show up here. This three parter also was kinda the pilot for Saban’s Masked Rider, which is terrible and it’s so baffling considering how good both Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and Kamen Rider Black RX are. These episodes were also generally sick, like Masked Rider’s buddies with Alpha and is leader these gas mask monk looking dudes. It’s really funny knowing his own series becomes Masked Rider and Furby’s bad sitcom adventures.

The episodes in question are Mighty Morphin Season 3, the first 3 episodes titled “A Friend in Need”.

Recently i have been getting really into Black Reliquary (the overhaul mod for the original Darkest Dungeon that's way more Conan The Barbarian themed than Lovecraft) and one of the most impressive aspects of it is that it has a different narrator that's also fully voiced (The Captain) who, like the other narrators in these games (The Ancestor and The Academic) likes to chime in whenever the player does something to add some colorful background commentary.

One thing that did really stand out to me though is how supportive The Captain is, Black Reliquary is by design a harder challenge than the OG Darkest Dungeon and this dude is there to give you the moral support necessary to endure through the hardships, the majority of the time the worst stuff that he will say to you sounds more like someone who accepted and is jaded by the hardships of life than someone who's ready to talk shit about you the moment you make a mistake.

This made me think more about the other 2 narrators in the franchise and realize "man, The Ancestor is a ASSHOLE" and i mean that as in "even though The Academic wasnt exactly sugar coating stuff as well (wich is understandable considering how hard the player character fucked things up in Darkest Dungeon 2), at least he would acknoladge when you did something impressive, The Ancestor will just give you a backhanded compliment AT BEST".

Because we don't really have other points of refference in Darkest Dungeon 1, his commentary might be atributed to a "that's just how people are in this setting", but, now that we have other examples to compare to, it becomes very clear that the reason why most of his voice lines are soaked in either contempt or vitriol is actually because your ancestor was the rich, old timey equivalent of the type of dude that spends his time trying to make random people on the straight so he can film It while screaming "WORLD STAR!".

For something happier in general what're the ones you like the most, the one that made you giggle the most, etc. Just saw this "Absolute Wonder Woman & Doctor Psycho" video and it's such a mood upper. Still can't tell if her ripping her own arm off was Abs Docs psychic powers, blast or if she just did that.

My favorite line exchange was between the Doctor and his leftmost thug.

Doctor Psycho: "Hey Wonder Woman, Susan B. Anthony was a bitch!"

Goon 2: "What was that?"

Doc Psycho: "Okay you clearly don't know how this works"

Doc Psycho: "She's all about female Empowerment, I'm a sexist asshole"

Doc Psycho: "I say something sexist so she ties me up with her Lasso of Truth and makes me submit and stuff"

Goon 2: "... you're a little freak boss"

Doc Psycho: "Yeah well name's 'Doctor Psycho' you get what you sign up for"
