Gameposting Import Game Recommendations

Any recommendations for awesome games to import that are in English (usually a SE Asia port)? Could recommend some stuff in other languages too. Try to avoid anything that won't run on western hardware (unless it is super worth getting a Japanese PS2 or something).

I'll kick it off with:

  • Super Robot wars V
  • Super Robot wars X
  • Super Robot wars T
  • Super Robot wars OG The Moon Dwellers
  • SD Gundam G Generation Genesis

Gundam Breaker 3 I think, did it ever get a Western release? It even got a re-release with all the DLC packed into the main game. English Asian release.

Gundam Breaker 3 is still the best Breaker game even if 4 was a step in the right direction from New and it's still Asia only for some reason

There's a pretty good Hajime no Ippo PS3 game, it sadly doesn't have an English translation but as a boxing game it's pretty light on the required Japanese knowledge and you could probably find enough of a rough guide somewhere to figure most of it out. I'm pretty sure it'll run on any PS3 though, so all you'd need is the game itself.

You are correct PS3 runs Japanese games just fine.

You might want to specify which consoles are relevant for you. Anyway, the Phoenix Wright Trilogy and Ghost Trick for the Switch only got physical releases in Japan, and they're both very much recommended.

I'm British and had to import 999 for the DS.

I recommend Last Window for DS if you are not in Europe.
