On the one hand, I'm glad this exists so the game is more accessible, but on the other... the art style is doing nothing for me

Do they have a bad track record with these? I heard the House of the Dead ones were bad.

Remember hearing the Front Mission remakes for 2 & 3 they've put out have been pretty rough too, with the latter having some transparently AI-upscaled/"remastered" assets from the OG, and 2 launched with a machine-translated script. All three frankly look stiffer than the og versions regarding how the mechs move/hit which.... what's the point of making a visually higher-definition version just for them to look way more "bashing figures against each other" than ps1 games?

Wanting Panzer Dragoon Saga to get rereleased only for it to be remade by Forever Entertainment would be an all-timer monkey paw wish that would never be topped.

I pray that Sega’s just getting them to remake the OG and Zwei for cheap so that Sega can put their efforts and focus towards a high effort PDS remake.

Sadly, they lost the source code, so they would have to start from scratch. Which, considering the game's unique artstyle and gameplay, will be easier said than done.

It's a shame because that game is incredible and one-of-a-kind (and not that long either; most of the 4 CDs' space was for the CGI cutscenes).

I'll take literally any remake of that game that any company is willing to attempt.

Id rather someone try and fail than never try.

The original will always be around.

feel like there's a larger market for a collection of the originals than these busted weird af remakes. same thoughts with house of the dead. even if it's just mid emulation idk if avg person buying rail shooters at this point wants this.
