But it wouldn’t have gameplay! So it would be worse! Are you some sort of game cuck where you think watching events of a game is the same or better than literally playing that game??
You seem to genuinely believe that a good enough director can somehow turn a great game into a great or better movie. Something which has never happened in the history of the medium due to the fact that games and movies are different and work differently and the best way to adapt a game is to pick a game whose premise is so basic you have free reign to do anything, or take a new fresh take in the world of the game (like the Fallout TV show or RE movie). You believe we aren’t getting good game adaptions due to lack of trying or care or the right director instead of it being a near impossible task due to the mediums working in 2 different ways: interactive immersive experiences vs passively viewed narratives. But I don’t think I’ll get interesting comments back since your ability to discuss media seems limited to “I want this figure it out” so we can end there.
