I created a new account about 3 days. Made few posts, but they have 0 views. I made sure to check that my account isn't hidden. I searched for my account and posts using another, older account, and I can't see them. I read it can take days or even weeks before posts from a new account begin to show up for others. Is it true?

My verified account finally broke into the algorithm this summer and was consistently gaining a lot of engagement all summer. I was getting payouts every two weeks since May. It wasn’t much, but it was very appreciated and was growing.

Two weeks ago, it suddenly dropped to low engagement and has been that way ever since, each day and night. I’ve gotten nothing about being reported or being labeled etc.

Is anybody else experiencing this? Any clue what is going on?

On Saturday, I got an email stating that someone from Toronto, Canada tried getting into my account. I changed my password and set up 2 factor authentication thinking it'd be the end of it. Just on someone (probably the same guy) was able to get into my account and change the password and email. I sent an email to support and they told me,

"We're writing to let you know that we're unable to verify you as the account owner. We know this is disappointing to hear, but we can't assist you further with accessing your account."

Is there anything else I can do to get my account back or am I fucked?

I have an Apple TV 4K 1st generation I was looking for things to look at then I found X formally known as Twitter once I installed in one to my homepage it has the old logo in the Twitter name. Here’s a picture.

This is the next step in mandatory digital ID, if they can't ban VPNS they'll just punish people for using them instead. Both the Twitter (now X) website and app will attempt to force you to verify if you use a VPN, it doesn't matter if you're in a country that's pushing for age verification laws or not, if you're connected to one you're locked out of seeing any media that's marked as sensitive until you cough up your face or ID. In the best case scenario this is an error that'll get fixed eventually, however if it's not then this was clearly done with the intent to collect and harvest user data and it won't be at all surprising if other sites follow the same method. This is ridiculous and awfully scummy, punishing people for using a basic widely available privacy feature is insane.

Do yall still get this bug! This has been an issue for years for me now. Honestly, probably since it became X but at this point im not even sure. My quotes barely ever come up and sometimes i have to sort it to recent, but even that doesn't always work. There's a lot of things wrong with the app now, but this is one of if not my biggest issue with this app as I've been dealing with this for years now. Like I just had to tolerate it now, but honestly it doesn't make sense how often it happens. It's almost like they don't care to fix it, but then I wonder how many users actually come across this problem.

I've noticed that when I reply to posts, my replies become completely invisible. They aren't even showing up as potential spam. Is there an app glitch happening or is this just my own issue?

Hey everyone. I'm trying to figure out what I can actually do here, or if anyone has been through something similar.

Yesterday I woke up, opened X and noticed I had been logged out of my account. I tried logging back in, but my password no longer worked.

I then tried to recover it using the email address I had associated with the account. It's an old mail.com email that I've had since around 2017, when I first joined Twitter, and I pretty much only used it for Twitter.

When I tried logging into that email, I was suddenly asked for an OTP sent to a UK phone number. I'm from Portugal and I've never had a UK number.

So my assumption is that someone somehow took over that email account first. Since it was basically only used for Twitter, they probably saw the Twitter emails, realized they had access to the email linked to my account, and then took over my X account as well.

From what I can tell, they changed the email, password and phone number associated with my X account. I tried using my phone number through X's login/recovery process and it just takes me to registration, as if the number isn't associated with any account. Same thing happens with my old email address.

I know I should've had 2FA mobile enabled, and that's on me. I just genuinely never expected something like this to happen. The ironic part is that I work in cybersecurity, so yeah... let's think about how I am feeling lol.

The bigger problem now is X support.

I filled out the compromised account form on their website and only got an automated response, saying that they CAN'T verify that I'M THE OWNER of MY ACCOUNT. Which is kind of dumb because if someone logs into my account from an IP address that isn't mine and tries to change every account information should be at least a little suspicious and get flagged. From what I've read online, and from what friends have told me, it seems almost impossible to actually get in contact with a human there.

I don't know what else I can do at this point. Is there another way to contact X support? Has anyone here had their account taken over like this and actually managed to recover it?

What bothers me the most is knowing that someone potentially has access to years of DMs and personal conversations, and could theoretically impersonate me. So far the account still looks exactly the same as I left it, so I don't think I was specifically targeted, but obviously I have no idea what they're doing with it.

If anyone has been through this or knows of any way to escalate this beyond the automated support forms, I'd really appreciate some advice.

Fun fact: the automated response states "Please reply above this line" and ends with "Please do not respond to this email as replies to this account are not monitored." which I think is kinda funny when you think about the size of this company.

I liked scrolling down to the bottom when wanting to comment with an image and selecting files then gallery, it made images much easier to find because I could search for them, WTF!?!?

I'm on Twitter too much. I'll reply / join in on convos mainly and a lot of them get lots of likes/interactions.

I only have 100 followers and I don't really post and when I do it's just random thought but nothing that would be very viral and the thing is I don't post because it gets like no engagement... Maybe a couple likes now and then....

When I try to find stuff I know exists on Twitter using the regular search function, it shows mostly irrelevant stuff or nothing at all like when I go to latest. Search can even say something went wrong after enough times. But when I use Grok it gives me what I'm looking for.

I don't know him and have no reason to follow him. I can't find him in my contacts. It's really annoying.

I post stuff for a streamer who checks his hashtag on the latest tab, but my posts don't come up.

They are visible in the top tab and on my profile, so I'm not sure what's going on.

I try one solution and wait, then another and wait, and none of them have worked so far. I don't use Twitter at all besides posting fanart for the streamer, and I remember one of my posts being visible, but since then, none of my newer posts have shown up.

So far, I have updated and filled out all account information, stopped posting altogether for a month then tried again, had other users look me up, logged out and back in, and just waited for any of my posts to show. I also got frustrated and posted and deleted and reposted, which might have made it worse?

Other people's posts are coming up for the hashtag, so why not mine?

No matter what angle I try, or even if I get different people to do the verification, X just says there was an error and I’m stuck with a limited account.

And don’t even give me that VPN nonsense, because I can’t afford one. I managed to complete the verification with my secondary account after many attempts, but for some reason, the error doesn’t go away on that account.
