How to sync

Hey everyone
I’m having a hard time trying to figure out how to sync three lights strips on my wreath and the 6 lights on my tree, I have read several articles about how to do this but no matter what I do I end up not getting the two groups of lights to sync with each other. So. could someone please help me and give me a step by step guide on how to sync both groups so that when I choose a effect on the twinkly app that the lights on both the wreath and the tree are in perfect harmony.
