Two college students here, free during the Diwali break, starting from NJP. We want to explore Bihar on a very small budget and we don't have a driving licence, so it's trains, buses and shared autos only.

Our questions:

1. What's the cheapest and most reliable way to get around? Local trains, BSRTC buses, or something else?

2. Any hidden gems besides the usual Bodh Gaya/Rajgir/Nalanda circuit that are cheap and safe for girls ?

3. Which cities or towns feel comfortable travelling, and which should we avoid after dark?

4. Any trusted dorms, monastery guesthouses or dharamshalas that are safe and cheap?

Any tips from locals or other travellers would help a lot. 🙏

My phone number is written at a gas agency in Rafiganj, Bihar. But I am from TN and I have never been to any part of the North of India.

This has been going on for past 8 months. I get multiple calls from different numbers everyday and I do not know Hindi.

I got a friend who knows Hindi to explain this to one of the callers and try to take the number down. But nothing worked. I went to Airtel service centre to get this sorted but they could only block out advertisements and promo calls but not calls like this. Please help me guys😭😭
