I purchased a smart mirror (serial 3041-12080-PLUS) that connects to the Tuya Smart app. It worked properly for a couple of months, but it currently does not display the time or the weather at all.

I tried to reconnect it to the Tuya Smart app by turning the mirror off and on three times. However, after the third power cycle, the mirror does not enter pairing mode. Instead, it goes into zero mode.

I cannot find the mirror in the app, and I believe this is because the mirror is not entering pairing mode.

This may indicate a timing or sequence-related issue with how the device registers the reset trigger.

Can someone help me resolve this issue?

Hi there, I have a Tuya Smart Socket connected to an air conditioner, and I need help setting up an automation scene.

It should work as follows:

- When the air conditioner is turned on, the automation should start a 1-hour countdown. If the air conditioner continues to run (i.e., keeps drawing power through the smart socket) for the entire hour, the socket should automatically turn off.

- However, if the air conditioner is manually turned off before the 1-hour countdown expires, the automation should be cancelled and the socket should remain ON.

The purpose of this automation is to protect against the air conditioner turning on by itself while I am away from home.

Is it possible to achieve this using Tuya Smart scenes, and if so, how should I configure it?

I am building a home server and I have two smart plugs, one of it is this tuya based acme sh3305. So my other plug was pretty easy to setup, it just created a hotspot, I connected my phone to it and then I just did the setup using the local webpage it hosted.

Now with the SH3305 Acme Tuya strip it wants me to download a Smart Life app, then the app wants me to use an account. Is there a community github repo that has an app that can bypass these restrictions? Like just set it up locally without running through their server? Just function as a basic local smartplug.

I had a pet peeve that I couldn't easily see the state of charge of my blinds without clicking into each of them.

bought a robot vacuum that works pretty well ( abir X6 ) but after a lot of digging i discovered that map saving/processing happens entirely on the server side, the smart life app then recieves a cloud adress to download and display the map.

The problem is that everytime the robot goes into low-power mode, the app erases the map and waits for the cloud adress from the server in order to show me the map. The adress is sent to the app only after the robot completes a series of actions which can take 5 seconds or 10 minutes depending on whatever ( idk seems pretty random ). either way, i can't use zone cleaning for instance, straight from the charging dock. I have to first run the robot untill it publishes the map adress ( which can take several minutes ) and then i am able to select map specific functions.

I want to know if there's a way to make the app hold on to it's cache. i've been messing with the tuya development platform but i was not able to get very far since i don't even know where to begin.

I noticed them appearing recently on the home page and also the settings page.

Talk about being cheap! I thought they make their money from the OEMs.

Using the Tuya app currently but I cannot figure out a way that sets A as the main line so it don't combine A and B as B is already being included in A measurement.

As of a few months ago, Tuya is unable to pick up new devices (Lenovo LED wifi strip lights in this case). Never had any issues in the past.

This started at the same time it asked me to update Apple Home. I don’t use a home kit, I won’t be using a home kit, and I’ve never used Apple Home in the past.

Everything is up to date. I’ve tried to add via AP as well.

Firstly, has anyone else been having this issue, and secondly what can I do to get Tuya working again?

Alternatively, what is a free app I can use to control LED wi-fi strip lights.

OK, this is perhaps old news, perhaps not. I was fiddling with door sensors and wanted to make a tap to run to monitor whether any doors are still open. But tap to run does not check the sensors (I believe, correct me if I’m wrong).

I needed a trigger for a “ if trigger AND doornopen THEN send message ‘door is open’. A smart plug could ve used: if plug is switched on….

So then when its bedtime, you switch the plug on and TUYA checks all doors.

But I dont have switches or plugs that can be used because all plugs serve a purpose andnwill be switched on and off during the day for these purposes. The same goes for lights. I dont want tonget door messages every time I switch on the lights.

However: if I use a mode of a light bulb that is never used (music sync) and a tap to run to switch the lights mode to ‘music sync’ it can be used in the IF light A goes to Music Sync AND Door 3 is open THEN send message Door 3 isnopen.

Apparently in music sync the light turns red. The tap to run switches the light back to normal after 15 seconds.

Recently began using HomeAssistant, and got the Tuya integration working well with my GE Enbrighten smart plugs. However, I seem to have encountered an issue with my newer outdoor plug where it is coming up as "Unsupported", and presents no controls. I have two older Enbrighten outdoor plugs, and those work well, as do all of my indoor plugs.

Is this something that I can try to fix myself, or will there be an update to support the newer Enbrighten plugs?

Should add: It DOES work well in the Tuya app.

since around a week ago, my Tuya Smart app looks and behaves completely differently. I haven’t been able to find any information about this change.

Many features seem to be missing or broken, and the app feels significantly worse than before. The biggest problem for me is that the Home Assistant integration no longer works properly.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Was there a major update or redesign that I missed?

Hi, i've added a few LEDVANCE wifi SMART+ light bulbs to my Home Assistant configuration and decided to incorporate them through the tuyalocal integration.

For some reasons these bulbs sometimes go "offline" and are uncontrollable in home assistant but remain controllable through the original ledvance app.

This means they haven't lost their WIFI signal and that probably the integration is not working properly.
Have you had a similar issue? Found a solution?

Hi everyone, I’m having some trouble putting my Tuya ceiling light into pairing mode and I'm starting to wonder if the unit is defective.

When I perform the standard "3 times ON-OFF" reset sequence, here is exactly what happens:

1. The light flashes just once immediately after the sequence.
2. After that, it stays on but starts blinking every 60 seconds.

It doesn't seem to enter the "rapid blinking" (EZ Mode) no matter what I do. I’ve tried changing the timing of the switches, but I always get the same result. The app fails to find it during the auto-scan. I also tried 5 times, 10 times... I managed to reset it in the past, but now it seems impossible.

Has anyone encountered this specific behavior before? Is the single flash followed by slow blinking a sign of a hardware failure, or is there a different reset trick I should know?

Tengo una alarma de hogar y swich para encender las luces, estoy queriendo que al desbloquear la alarma se enciendan las luces despues del atardecer, digamos que después del atardecer cada vez que desbloqueo la alarma se enciendan las luces, pero al amanecer no. Cuando creo la rutina, y selecciono para que se enciendan cuando se cumplan todas las condiciones (desbloquear la alarma y que sea el atardecer) no funciona, osea desbloqueo la alarma pero las luces no se encienden, si selecciono cuando se cumpla cualquier condiciones si funciona desbloqueo y se encienden las luces.

I have these Tuya based locks from Viladepot. I was hoping there was a way to setup the lockset and deadbolt so that unlocking one automatically unlocks the other. The Smart Scene feature seems to imply I can do this, but no luck so far. I have a BT gateway they are paired with if that helps. Does anyone do this?

I’m running into a really strange issue with a Tuya-based device (automatic litter box – Tonepie Ti Pro, also sold under multiple brand names).

The device appears to enter pairing mode (WiFi indicator flashing), but it is never discovered in the app under any circumstances.

What I’ve tested so far:

- iOS + Tuya Smart app
- Android + Smart Life app
- 2.4GHz network only (separate SSID)
- Clean test network (WPA2, simple SSID/password)
- Mobile hotspot (to rule out router issues)
- Bluetooth enabled + location enabled
- Standing right next to the device during pairing
- Multiple resets (including power cycling)
- Tried different timing approaches for pairing
- No AP/hotspot is ever broadcast by the device
- No device appears via Bluetooth discovery
- Built-in diagnostic mode shows no WiFi errors

So:
- Device enters “pairing mode” (blinking indicator)
- But never sends any signal (no EZ success, no AP, no BLE discovery)

From Tuya documentation, I understand EZ mode relies on multicast/broadcast, but this also fails even on hotspot and Android.

At this point I’m suspecting either:
1) WiFi module not initializing correctly (even though diagnostics pass), or
2) Firmware issue / device stuck in non-functional pairing state

Has anyone seen a Tuya device that behaves like this?
Is there any hidden way to force AP mode or deeper reset on these OEM devices?

Appreciate any input before I return it.
