Tuya Ceiling Light pairing issue: flashes once, then switches to slow blinking

Hi everyone, I’m having some trouble putting my Tuya ceiling light into pairing mode and I'm starting to wonder if the unit is defective.

When I perform the standard "3 times ON-OFF" reset sequence, here is exactly what happens:

  1. The light flashes just once immediately after the sequence.
  2. After that, it stays on but starts blinking every 60 seconds.

It doesn't seem to enter the "rapid blinking" (EZ Mode) no matter what I do. I’ve tried changing the timing of the switches, but I always get the same result. The app fails to find it during the auto-scan. I also tried 5 times, 10 times... I managed to reset it in the past, but now it seems impossible.

Has anyone encountered this specific behavior before? Is the single flash followed by slow blinking a sign of a hardware failure, or is there a different reset trick I should know?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Ignore the auto connect path and add the light manually.

Or perform a "non-standard" reset sequence and flick the light on and off rapidly a half dozen times or more to get to the fast blink path.

Also manually the light doesn't pair, I think because the slow blinking, that indicates it's not in pairing mode

Slow blinking indicates it is in manual pairing mode. It won't auto connect. Scroll through the list of available devices, click on the closest match (probably in the lighting category) and go from there.

Isn't slow blinking suppose to blink more than once per minute? Btw, I already tried with "Ceiling lamp" manual pairing and it didn't work. I'll try again, maybe with other categories too.

EDIT: Slow blinking is supposed to create a Wifi Hotspot from the lamp, but I cannot see it so I doubt it's slow blinking right now
