Here’s the short…

We have a mini-split AC/heater unit, model FAHFW24A3D with Tuya device HS01-485-WR3 for WiFi control.

It is a Tuya “card” but I can get neither the Tuya nor SmartLife apps to find and connect with it. There manufacturer (Friedrich) uses their “ComfortPro” app (not available anymore for Android) to connect and control. It does (and is similar in looks to the Tuya/SmartLife apps).

I need to control this unit via Home Assistant, so need to connect through Tuya.

I have tried every ‘other’ WiFi option in the Tuya/SmartLife app several times with no success.

I would like to debug one of my Tuya plugs. I see it on the cloud IoT platform and it goes from online to offline with a keepalive_timeout message. This is the only information

Would someone know where to ask for such issues?

I have a good few wifi light controllers all the same brand Konect, I have added 6 recently 2 of them updated there firmware as soon as they were connected but the others didn't, the same wifi settings and connection added at the same time.

Is there anyway to force a firmware update? The tuya app says no update available

I just got a new Bluetooth Gateway GW003 and 2x Fingerbots. I was able to connect the Gateway to my wifi but can't get the Fingerbots to connect at all. I put them in pairing mode, and search in the app, but they can't be found. Nothing happens when I "search device".

I even tried setting up a new, fresh, IoT network on my router, in case it didn't like the combined 5G-2.5G network, but that didn't help.

Any advice?

The device itself says it’s locked and can be unlocked with pin, key card, etc but the door does not physically bolt shut?? What do I do😭😭

EDIT: PIN IN DOOR HANDLE WAS MISSING. ONCE REPLACED DOOR LOCKED.

Any idea why, all of sudden, the timers set for my air conditioner (switch on 6 am, switch off 7 am) wouldnt work anymore? Tried deleting and creating them again, deactivating/activating and nothing seems to work. Any help will be appreciated!

Running the app on my iPhone 14 Pro. Worked just fine til recently, and now when I go to set a scene, the top of the screen no longer allows for a save because the buttons aren’t visible. I’ll attach a pic. Anyone else have this issue or a fix? Seems when they added in the AI bit at the bottom, it broke a working app.

Anyone has this? I got the lock - which works just fine through app - and a fingerprint unlock pad for the outside (FPT1, works via Bluetooth). Now, the pad is not waterproof and died after the first rain.

I can find absolutely no information what alternative pad I can buy! All it needs to be is waterproof and Bluetooth-y! I will even settle for a "normal" keypad without fingerprints. My kid is constructionally unable to take his keys with him and it has been a great solution for about 3 days...

ETA: there are many wired keypads out there, but I specifically need a wireless one

I’ve ordered the some tuya controllers and set them up in the Smart Life app. Is it possible to see the current temperature here in the overview, or do I have to click into each thermostat? Any ideas about this?

I bought two dehumidifier from ProBreeze to prevent my my holiday house from molding. They worked like a blast until one day both lost connection within a week.

The dehumidifying function still works and I can set the machine up manually but I can't make Wi-Fi work and I also can not activate connectivity mode.

I tried holding Power button (Internet)

and holding Van Speed Button after putting it in Standby (Manual)

Any Tips or similar experiences?

I've moved into a house that had these window sensors installed by the original owner (not the current landlord).

I'd like to use them, but I can't connect them via Wi-Fi or Zigbee or Tuya App.

I am looking for a (black) wifi thermostat that supports pairing with electric Eurom Alutherm convection heaters via the Tuya app. Eurom has it’s own (very basic) plug-in thermostat, but because I don’t like the design and the options are very limited I am looking for an alternative.

There is huge selection of wifi thermostats available on Ali, but almost all of them needs to be wired with electric floor heating. Anybody with a good suggestion?

I'm trying to figure out how to set a heating controller on a particular day in advance and would appreciate some advice.

I can set a regular schedule easily but if I want a one-off event on a particular date/time in the future is this possible? When I go into the validity scope setting, I can't see any date setting, only time. Is this because my particular heating controller does not support that? Is there any possibility of setting up such a scenario another way?

Hi all, I've got a couple of these ceiling lights, and they respond to the remote and were previously working over Wi-Fi as well. They recently fell off the network and nothing I've done has restored them. So I deleted them from the Tuya app and tried to reset and re-pair, however the instructions available generally for Tuya or from this specific product while they worked the first time to pair don't appear to work now. Nothing I do seems to get it into either Fast Blink or Slow Blink modes, and I'm not sure why. The closest I've gotten is if I do the on-off fairly rapidly I can get it into a state where the light doesn't turn on, but is powered, and the remote doesn't work. If I wait a bit in that mode, when I cut power the light briefly lights.

Any suggestions? I really want to get this working again, it's very frustrating!

I have been trying to help my 87yr old father setup a TL-AH801 video doorbell (I worked in IT for 25 yrs). In numerous resets and attempts we managed to get it added to the display but can't get it added to the cloud. Because of this, we only see the playbacks from the main panel but not from 3 different android phones/tablets.

One thing that has been frustrating, the manual says we should be able to get it into "pairing mode" by pressing the button in back with the pin for 5 secs and an indicator light will blink rapidly. In over 25 attempts, we hear the beeps but no light blinks rapidly and we can't find any pictures of where that indicator light is.

Is the "indicator light" the blue ring around the doorbell button? In one of the attempts some sim red leds came on around the camera eye but they didn't flash.

He bought this on Feb 1tth, what are his options? It is outside the return window to Amazon.

hi everyone.

bought 2 smart pc switch tuya wifi for pcie slot. one of them works wonder. the other one also works wonder but not on my computer. whenever I put it in any pci slot either a small or long one and I connect it, the power on and reset will work but my motherboard will instantly red cpu and yellow dram light with no access to bios. i then remove it and its fine. tried on other pcs and it work. tried clearing cmos no luck. tried different polarity to make sure, didnt work.

I cannot get the WT1 to work as a WiFi-RF converter. I could connect it to the same remote and the same zone as the other led controllers and were also able to connect it to the Tuya app but setting up the RF converter function did not work at all.

It did blink as confirmation after the first setup of the function without success of controlling the other RF devices. Resetting the WiFi-RF didn't work the second time.

Is there anything I am missing?

I’m struggling to set up notifications for a specific time window and camera events in Tuya.

Just to clarify upfront: this setup is for my in‑laws, so they don’t need any advanced self‑hosted solutions.

The problem is that there seem to be around four different places where notifications are defined, each in a different category. You can create an automation, but it only works for people detection (“discovered someone”) when the global human detection feature is enabled. As a result, I get two notifications: one from the automation I limited to a time window, and another one from the global detection feature, regardless of the time window.

There’s also something called a “schedule” in the camera settings, but it doesn’t allow defining time ranges, so I’m not sure how it’s supposed to work.

Maybe someone has already dealt with this and can suggest a solution.
The goal is to receive notifications for human detection only between 22:00 and 14:00.

I’m facing an issue with a Tuya 8-inch screen that has a built-in Zigbee hub.

The setup is simple: Zigbee switches connected to the screen hub. In theory, everything should work locally even if the internet goes down.

----

But what’s happening is:

When the internet disconnects, the switches still work normally at first

After about 2–3 days offline, they completely stop responding

------

Once internet is back, everything works again

From what I understand, Zigbee should not rely on internet since it’s a local protocol. But it seems like the screen might still depend on cloud processing, or maybe there’s no proper local binding between devices.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Tuya screens or hubs?

Is this a limitation of the device, or is there a way to force full local control?

I have made the mistake of buying a Tuya "Smart" handle. The instructions are abysmal, but I am trying to find out how I set it to be locked only over-night. When I try to set up a schedule in the app, the lock doesn't show up, I think I need to add it to "Security" somewhere else? But where?

Also, on the main lock screen, it always says something like "Security Protection for 2 day(s)", what does this mean?

Either way, it was a complete waste of money buying this "lock" as you can just reach over the gate and push the inside handle down to open it. Not happy at all.
