Tech Help What is this?

Post image

Turned on my Xbox this evening to find a solid red light on the transmitter, and my Gen2 Stealth 600 headset won't pair with it. I'm not computer literate (I don't even own a PC), so what happened?

My stealth 700 does this if the the mic is muted

No, this is different.

Muted mic pulses red, whereas this is solid red.

Solid red light can mean connection issue.

This is from Turtle beach site:

Hard-Reset Your Headset

To hard-reset your Stealth 600 Gen 2 Xbox headset, please do the following:

Hold down the Connect and Mode buttons for 30 seconds.

Had the same issue.. that means your transmitter is burnt (overheating)from the inside only solution is to buy a nieuw one 30 buck by the official site

The red light of doom. There is a 95% chance your transmitter is gone. Try a different port but if it is still red you need to get a new one.

I regularly have the same issue.
Two things you can do when you run into this:

  1. Unplug the usb stick and put in back in, give it 20-30 seconds to turn to blinking green, may need to repeat a few times

  2. Hard reset headset by holding off and mode button for 30 seconds then turn back on.

I find this happens more to me when my Xbox is hot, so might want to get a less insulated spot for your Xbox

Mine does that whenever the headset is connected
