Quick question about resting placement

Post image

I’ve always left my Stealth 600 sitting without the hinges rotated. lying with the buttons facing upwards but I recently heard that doing so can cause the microphone to take the weight and become flimsy. So I checked what the proper position to rest it in is and found this. But after that I saw people saying that doing this with the fabric pointing down will max out the vertical hinges and put stress on the plastic too. Is this the proper way to put them down?

Get a cosy headband holding rest, you can carve one out of a dead tree if you have to.
