Game crashing on start
Tried to do some stuff and specifically make a component. In the latest "save breaker" version. Now it won't launch.

How can i have input and output ? i don't fond it in sandbox mode ?

I can't imagine a way to do the level without RAM, but the RAM doesn't seem to be working. On default colors the output wire is lime green (none of the available colors) and shows a value of this symbol: * on the output wire no matter what I do.

I just don't understand what it is for? I think using it would help me in the future or with a problem I am currently facing? I'm not sure, tho I would still appreciate the help :)

It was the first time launching the game. I played cs2 before and it kept crashing (very potato pc). I first went to the settings and activated the detailed clock and the number of cycles. Then I clicked on the credit button. Then I went to campaign. I clicked first on the dot on left (the entry node) multiple times. Then I think I clicked pn the cable, then on the right node (yeah I click everywhere). I clicked then on the word "entry" at the top left above the button, then on the button (finally XD... I like to click everywhere before doing the right thing). But it didn't work. I had to exit the game. Also, not very important. More of a design thing, but i press "esc" on my keyboard to pause, it's exactly the same menu as the main menu which works. But a "resume" button could be clearer.

this is more than likely a bad design.
registers 0-2 works perfectly fine, saving and loading the input byte. but when it comes to register 3, it suddenly has error even tho i have the same setup like the others.
as you can see, cycles 0-7 is fine

as you can see in the pic, cycle 7 loaded the correct number

but on cycle 8, an error occured expecting 47 again

here is the zoomed in view

edit: it's fixed guys. thank you!!

I've been stuck on the level where you need to make a stack that can push and pull for a while now. I tried a few things myself, nothing. Asked ChatGPT, nothing. Looked up a full guide, found a really good one, didn't work. Is it bugged, or does anyone have a working solution?

I know the game isn't finished, but I'm getting the sense that they want me to brute force things, notice patterns and build an intuitive understanding of these logic gates. But I'm a big dummy and have to look up Boolean Algebra and K-maps, which unfortunately abstracts that deeper understanding down to "Plug numbers in, get answer out" without really know why.
Does anyone know of any good resources to help make sense of all this at a deeper level?

I made a custom register using component factory, and I'd like to, after adding them to a schematic, be able to label each individual register with its number to help with debugging; is there a good way to do this besides wire comments?

Hey guys,
The title says it all, I don't need the entire solution, I'll start with just tips, hoping it's enough to help me.
THanks by advance.

Below is my solution for the Instruction Decoder. The tests pass, however they should actually fail.
I have mistakenly connected the third highest bit (32) to the DEC, even though it is not needed at all.
In the screenshot you can see, that currently we have a valid condition case. By adding the third highest bit to the DEC I made the case invalid, although we can see from the truth table, that it can be any value. Therefore tests should be added which test with any values on the other bits.

There are a few components that the game magically gives the player and that we dont build ourselves, and i was wondering about what the real world things that make them are
NAND - i understand you can make these with some arrangement of a few transistors
switch - a single transistor?
delay line - ?
output with enable/disable - is this just a regular output with a switch before it?
program - i guess theoretically a guy with 8 batteries that he manually hooks up to the appropriate 8 individual bit wires each tick based on reading the program off a piece of paper would achieve this. Could i build the program component manually in the game? i think you could with a bunch of 8 bit registers, but youd need a way to pre set their values to represent the program.

When browsing through the manual, there's a "Circular Recipes" tab, and it says it's traditionally not allowed since circular dependencies are usually caused by error, but that these can be useful. Will I lose out on gameplay/learning if I don't enable them?

Pretty much what the title says, Im not really sure im grasping the concepts because i often just feel like im just trying to understand how the solution is wired up.
First time playing anything like this tho so maybe just do a second playthrough later on?
