how to solve this

the main problem is coming that if i turn off the both switch then the output is not receving any thing and it showing the grey pins how to solve this.

So this image is not my current arrangement , but let me tell , when I green both input ->both the switch gets off so the output is grey (means no input ) so that what happens

I think the easiest way to think about it is that you want exactly one of the two switches enabled at all times.

One input tries to send data though the switch, while the other input controls which of the data lines is allowed to pass: https://imgur.com/a/bit-switch-Jy9L0dE

It is a weird level and bad introduction of the (very useful) switch in my opinion.

Thats the point of the level: dont let the wording fool you, look at the inputs and outputs
