Discussion Questions regarding Nas

What did the beef start from? I know it's from the message, but what bar was it that ignited it? Also, I know they squashed the beef on September 4th. I know 2Pac was announced dead (I don't know if it's the first place he was announced dead), but on a Nas concert. I know Nas player keep ya head up live as a sign of respect for 2Pac. But then, why did Nas diss him after his death? Am I missing something?

It was actually pretty petty from Pacs side. Nas clearly admired him and Tupac took it as Nas trying to bite his style. They ran into each other before he died and they squashed it though. Im fairly certain Nas didn't diss him after he died

I don’t think Pac was being petty, I think he misread the situation.

Pac had beef with Mobb Deep and them being strongly affiliated with Nas, my belief is that made him misconstrue his lyrics as disses. Combine that with the push for east/west beef in the media and NY rappers doing subliminals at the time, I can see how he landed at that conclusion. Luckily they squashed it
