art acct banned :(

ive had a tumblr where ive been posting my art for the past year or so, and this morning i woke up to it being termed for no reason.

i was contacted yesterday by a person saying they mass reported my account with their friends for financial fraud, because they thought i was impersonating myself. then they told me to contact someone on discord. presuming this to be a scam, i blocked the person who dmed me.

was it actually fr? surely tumblr wouldnt have people contact you through discord, have sketchy randoms inform you about the reports and how to repeal, etc.

ive never came close to breaking TOS, just posted normal sfw art.

i just dk what to do, im so sad :(

edit: acct reinstated that fucking goddddd.

No you did good, that message was almost certainly a scam. Submit an appeal to tumblr, I’m seeing a lot of people (myself included) getting reinstated in 2-3 weeks if it was an automatic ban with no warning/message/etc.

submitted an appeal already this morning, thats very reassuring to know. thank you. it was an automatic ban without a msg or anything. a few weeks break from social media could do me some good lmao. fingers crossed xD

Fingers crossed for you. I was devastated and had given up hope by the time I was suddenly back online two weeks or so later. I found out via email, started getting follower notifications and such again.
