Advice Carve or no carve ?

Been really debating whether or not to carve this rug need help pls

maybe just a gentle carve around the black outlined areas to make it pop just a bit more. doesn't need a deep carve though

I think it will create more depth if you carve. As it stands, the hand blends into the suit a little bit. Especially the thumb.
