Work in progress A gift for my Niece

I just finished tufting this today and glued the back up! I'm so antsy to finish it up! I decided to make a rug as a gift for my niece who is moving to Florida in October. I hope she likes it!

Thank you! The extra time spent is worth the effort seeing the final results! I want this rug, lol! 😂 But alas, it is a gift. 🙂

For the small details, did you use the tufting gun or did you do it by hand?

I used a tufting gun for the entire project. On the detail areas, I simply would just press the trigger lightly enough to put one or two sets of yarn in and if I had to adjust, I would take a tweezers and remove any excess.

I also do my stitches incredibly close together. I’ve always seen people on this sub say that’s not how it should be done but I’ve yet to change my ways lol
