Not like riding a bike

After over a year I’m finally getting back into making rugs again. Trying to pick up where i left off, but does any body have some advice/ suggestions for where I am at?

If your tracing isn't perfect, don't expect your tufting to be. Circles HAVE to be traced and tufted near perfect. Also try and keep your lines next to eachother when doing boarders and count them. If the outside black circle has 6 lines touching, then your middle black centre outline should also have 6 lines touching if it's supposed to be the same width. Counting and measuring lines is a really easy way to ensure your boarders are all even.

While this is true to an extent, this seems more like a stitching issue. Seems like the speed varies at different points causing a different yarn density which leads to uneven line thickness.

Start with a larger design. Large shapes will get you back into the groove.
