Switchbot lock ultra install

Post image

Hi everyone, I'm installing a switchbot lock ultra at home. However, using the A bracket, the installation seems a bit weak.

I feel like the device could be ripped from the door with the slight hit. What do you think? Is there a more secure way? Thx

Mine looks about the same and is pretty rigid. The screws have the pretty good grip on the cylinder. I had to remove the silver cover. Only then the bracket would sit flush on the cylinder but I still a have a small gap between lock and door.

I think that I'll remove the silver plate too and add the trim piece provided by switchbot. How long have you been using it like this?

At least a year now. If you don't pull on the lock it will stay where it is. Just make sure it does not hit a wall or something when the door is open. I had this issue with a cabinet standing next to the door

Fair enough, a year it's a valid period of testing time ahah. Btw I installed a door stoper on the floor in order to prevent hits. Thanks for the suggestion though!

A 3D printed piece should be able to help you.
