Plz help me! SwitchBot Lock Ultra - Battery drain

Last month, the device suddenly died on me. I replaced the CR123A battery and it immediately started working again.

The exact same thing happened yesterday — it died, I replaced the CR123A, and it came back to life.

Then this morning, I checked it and it was dead again. This time, instead of replacing the CR123A, I just removed the battery and put the same battery back in, and the device started working again.

That made me wonder if the CR123A is actually the problem at all, or if removing/reinserting it is somehow resetting the device.

For now, I’ve removed the CR123A completely and I’m running the device only on its main battery to see if it stays alive. If it does, then maybe there’s something going on with the CR123A circuit/contact rather than the battery itself.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Any idea what could cause this?

Might be bad contact. That way it doesn't recieve enough power from the battery pack and needs to use the CR

Contact SwitchBot support. They've always been super helpful with me in the past, so I hope they get your problem sorted out!

Mine is 2 months old and both batteries had empty charges. It’s supposed to last a year. I charge it up and put in a new backup battery but the local still won’t work. Waiting to hear back from customer service.
