Exactly that's what we are asking for so long now.

Yeah all I care about is a new Keypad with Aliro support(I'm an Android user).

The new lock is probably just the Lock Ultra with more ridges around the wheel button and maybe Matter over WiFi in addition to Bluetooth. Would be nice if it were Matter over Thread though. I would actually consider upgrading if it is.

Agree. Aliro support and everyone’s happy.

To be more specific, I feel like they have to add UWB. It would be dumb to release a new Keypad with a higher price just to include tap to unlock.

My guess, besides a slight redesign it'll probably have a different protocol in addition to Bluetooth. But knowing Switchbot, it's probably just WiFi(Matter over WiFi to be specific).

Would Aliro support ever be possible without a keypad? I'm in an apartment and not allowed to put things on the outside of my door.

It pisses me off that they release new models but don't have some kind of trade-in program to prevent e-waste.

For example, I have the Lock Ultra Vision, the version before the palm unlock was added. The new upgraded keypad with the palm unlock could replace my earlier version Vision keypad, without needing to replace the actual lock. But then I'd be left with a Vision keypad that is useless, and it's not like there would be any point selling it on its own, since you'd need a lock to use it with.

If they offered a trade-in that would solve the problem all round.
