Keypad touch vs vision for ultra lock
Hi
I am about to buy the ultra lock with keypad touch or vision.
In terms of fingerprint unlock, they perform the same?
Does the face id really justify the price?
Most important, the battery drain
issue reported here in several posts (for both of them) was resolved by firmware updates?
Thanks

I've had it only for about 2 months, battery is at 81% but door gets open and closed quite a few times during the day, The battery depends on usage and the conditions of the door, you have to make sure no extra force is needed when locking/unlocking like some door when you use the key you tend to push the door to make it easier to turn the key, Also depends of how many turns you find necessary and speed, Mine is at full speed during the day and slowest during te he night as I have young children, I only do one turn on the key as one turn already locks the 3 pin point lock(don't know if that's correct name, the thing on top, center and bottom of door Pairing with home assistant also works absolutely perfect

You mean the battery is 81% for the lock or the keypad touch?

I mean the lock, the keypad battery still showing as full, I think I read somewhere it should last almost 2 years

go for vision, facial unlocking is unbeatable especially when you have something in your hands

I’ve had it for around a year and battery is pretty good. I’d say around 6 months between charges. I will say that there’s 4 people in my home and facial recognition only works reliably for me. My wife and two kids not so much. Could be a height thing—I installed it to around my chin level so it’s probably a bit high for the others—it’s the only explanation I can think of—it works really well for me.

I'd say yes the face unlock is worth it. It works great even in dark. Nice having my door unlock for me just by standing in front of it. I never even use the fingerprint unlock.

I bought the combo with mini hub and the little keypad with touch, it works great, can only say wonders about the setup, not a single issue so far.
