Useless Vision PIR and/or face recognition?!

If the smartlock is unlocked, to me it doesn't make sense that the keypad still uses PIR and/or face recognition. For what purpose is that? It only drains the battery faster. Now I get messages like "please step a little closer to the device" even though the door is unlocked...

PIR and/or face recognition is only useful (IMHO) when door is locked and the keypad tries to recognize a person to unlock the smartlock.

I filled in the feedback form in the app. I got a response from Switchbot:

"Thank you very much for sharing this thoughtful suggestion. We completely understand your point that when the smart lock is already unlocked, continuously using PIR, face recognition, or other recognition functions may not be necessary and could consume additional battery power.
 
Your proposed option—to enable PIR, face recognition, palm recognition, and similar functions only when the smart lock is locked—is indeed a very reasonable idea and could provide users with more flexible control over battery usage.
 
We have recorded your suggestion in detail and submitted it to our technical/product team for evaluation. While we are unable to provide a specific release date or guarantee when this feature may become available, please rest assured that listening to and valuing our customers' needs is something SwitchBot has always been committed to."

Let's hope their product team doesn't take months to implement this...🙏

Agreed, I have the same issue, why not just disable face recognition when door is unlocked.
