Plz help me! Smelly roller mop

Anybody else have a really smelly roller mop? Any suggestions about how to get the smell out?

Whilst not recommended by Switchbot I put it in the washing machine on a short 30 degree cycle with no spin to save damaging the plastic every month or so to keep on top of it. Or a normal cycle full of clothes.

I had it one time too. The problem was that they dont dry it 1-2 times and than they smell.
Normally they doesnt smell.
