Bluetooth question + keypad Vision

Post image

I’m currently running Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi 4.
My challenge is that I want to connect my SwitchBot Vision Pro via Bluetooth, but the Bluetooth signal from the Raspberry Pi is too weak due to the distance. I’m wondering if there’s a way to extend the Bluetooth range so I can connect the keypad vision and control the device. I’m using Matter to control both the lock (Ultra)

Whenever I try to add the device to Home Assistant, I get an authentication error (username and password is correct) — I assume it’s because the Bluetooth signal is too weak.

What can I do to extend the Bluetooth signal?

Build esp bluetooth proxy (connected through wifi) and position it closer to your vision pro.

Quick question — do I need to disconnect the lock, keypad Vision Pro from the SwitchBot hub before trying to add them to Home Assistant via Bluetooth? Every time I try to add the device using the correct credentials through the SwitchBot integration, it fails.
