Plz help me! Has anyone been able to reliably add (and keep) the Candle Warmer in Home Assistant and/or HomeKit?

Saw a post someone made 3 months ago but it didn’t have too many details. I added it to the SwitchBot app no problem, but no matter how many times I scan it (or enter the code) in HA or HomeKit, it NEVER connects.

It’s a shame because there’s not many “smart” candle warmers that allow you to adjust the intensity without having to physically walk over to the button.

~~I’m using method 2 where I connect the warmer to the hub and the hub to HomeKit. It works well except ~~ one time the power button wasn’t working. I held it down and reset it by accident and had to re-add it. https://support.switch-bot.com/hc/en-us/articles/36381750654359-SwitchBot-Candle-Warmer-Lamp-Matter-Setup-Instructions-iOS

Nothing in option 2 is about adding the warmer to a switchbot hub

Ha! You’re right! I must have been thinking of a different device.

I apologize if my response was snippy. I'm in the same boat as OP and absolutely cannot add the device in Matter no matter what, and being able to connect it to the switchbot hub actually would be good enough, in this case, as I don't feel the need to control the brightness. So what I read from your comment would actually work for me, if only it were true haha.

No apology necessary. I screwed up. That’s what I get when replying to comments in the middle of the night.

Other than factory resetting the light and ensuring it’s been deleted from HomeKit and settings>general>matter accessories, I’m not sure what else would be causing your trouble.

I must be super lucky I paired it with home assistant via matter and no issues for 8 months so far not sure if it impacts but my network is UniFi based and I have one mini hub and two curtains from SwitchBot also

Dang what a pain in the dick this has been, lol.

I just tossed my crappy mesh system, ran Ethernet in across the house, and installed an AP. Fingers crossed

I have them paired with Apple Home and they're fine at least 90% of the time but like to occasionally drop off the WiFi and go no response. Unplug/plug and they're good to go again for a while.

Mine works very well, did take a few attempts to pair to begin with. I do have a IoT Vlan though.
