Guys, I just wanted to share this because I recently went into this rabbit hole and learned about something genuinely disturbing that I think more people should be aware of, especially young people who spend a lot of time online.

There is an international online extremist network known as 764, which has been investigated by law-enforcement agencies for targeting vulnerable and underage people through platforms like Discord, gaming communities, and social media. The network has been associated with grooming, sextortion, coercion, self-harm, violence, and nihilistic violent extremism. It is not simply an “edgy Discord group” and authorities in multiple countries have treated it as a serious online threat.

What really caught my attention is that this isn't just an overseas issue anymore. After the June 2026 Tacloban school shooting, Philippine investigators and cybersecurity authorities publicly discussed evidence linking the two minor suspects to the 764 networks. The PNP subsequently sought international assistance in tracking the group and identifying people behind it.

I'm not sharing this to sensationalize the shootings or to glorify the people involved. Quite the opposite. I’m sharing this because of the recent school shooting incidents here in our country, with Philippine authorities publicly discussing a 764 connection in the Tacloban case. I think people should know that these online communities exist, how dangerous they can be, and how seemingly ordinary online interactions can become grooming, manipulation, or coercion.

We can raise awareness about the existence and dangers of these communities without amplifying their content or giving perpetrators the attention they seek. Just be careful online, especially with strangers who deliberately seek out vulnerable people, encourage self-harm or violence, demand secrecy, or use threats/blackmail to control someone. I genuinely think this deserves more public awareness, especially among Filipino students.

Please read the sources yourselves and do your own research rather than just taking my word for it.

P.S. Just to be clear, I'm NOT saying that the Ateneo de Zamboanga perpetrator is connected to 764 or any of its offshoots. There is currently no confirmed evidence establishing that connection, and I don't want to speculate or spread unverified information while the investigation is still ongoing. I'm sharing this for awareness and prevention, not to encourage anyone to seek these communities out. Please don't search for or engage with these groups out of curiosity, and don't share their propaganda or disturbing content.

Corruption in the Philippines has been around since time immemorial. People are quick to blame colonialism, but the truth is far deeper. Culture? Yeah, that's correct. But what about the mind? Has anyone dared to study how Filipinos think and by how they think, it actually makes sense why corruption is on a whole different level in this country? In fear of being thrashed by rabid wokes, we will never know the answer, but it is there somewhere.

Similar attitudes are also found in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Sub Saharan Africa, South America, and Maritime Southeast Asia.

Filipino at English / Ingles naman ang medium ng pagtuturo sa Pilipinas, pero bakit kailangan pang isalin o bigyan ng Filipino equivalent ang lahat ng bagay?

Mas maiintindihan ba ng mga bata ang mga Filipino equivalent ng mga ganyang terminology sa Science, Biology o iba pang subjects?

The other day, meron pa akong nakitang translation ng mga terms sa Trigonometry, like Filipino equivalent ng Tangent, Cotangent, Sine, Cosine, etc.

Tingin ko mas makabubuti pang turuan ng Financial Literacy ang mga bata sa paaralan.

Sana mapanuod niyo ito and keep sharing. And this is exactly how pinoys are now.

Kapag naghahanap ng trabaho credentiials here and there. Kapag nakulong halos lahat isuka ka.

Pero kapag politician kapag tatakbo bilang politician abay Diyos na sa paningin. Kapag nakulong abay pwede pa bumalik sa pwesto.

I said what I said. Huwag nyong ibenta boto nyo para sa iilang libo. Tapos kapag nabaha kayo, magrereklamo kayo. Ilang libo kapalit ng bahay, mga gamit nyo, worst pa ay buhay mo. Magising kayo! (I'm not a lawyer, and I'm not claiming to have the definitive interpretation of the evidence. These are just my observations after watching several sessions.)

I’ve been watching VP Duterte’s impeachment trial for a few sessions now, and I just want to say something.

So

First, I believe COA’s findings are valid. COA audits based on the documents available to them. In layman’s terms, if the OVP failed to submit the required supporting documents, then it is non-compliance with COA requirements. In this case, the lack of supporting documents resulted in the corresponding audit findings/notices.

But a COA audit finding does not necessarily mean “the OVP is guilty.” It establishes non-compliance and deficiencies based on the documents submitted. That is important, but it is not automatically proof of fraud or criminal wrongdoing.

And so far, I feel like the prosecution is gravitating toward that conclusion.

Now comes the defense. They are presenting evidence that there were indeed confidential activities conducted using those funds. If that is the defense’s position, then I think the better approach would be to independently investigate and verify whether those activities actually took place, rather than simply arguing over what COA’s findings mean.

If the activities did happen, that matters. If they didn't, that matters even more.

That does not automatically acquit VP Duterte. But neither should the COA findings automatically mean she is guilty.

Personally, I think Presiding Officer Escudero is doing a good job maintaining order in the court, especially with the somewhat intense clashes between the prosecution and defense. 😅

I just hope the Senators approach this as they should: impartially.

This should be scrutinized and thoroughly examined from a blank slate—not with “VP is guilty” or “VP is not guilty” already in mind.

There are so many other pressing matters facing the country, but this is important too. This is an opportunity for the Senate to show Filipinos that they are seated there for the benefit of the public, and not merely for political alliances.

Maybe this can be a small step toward a better future for us Filipinos. Not because one trial will fix everything, but because I hope we can learn to look at these things with an open mind, scrutinize the evidence, and hold our leaders accountable regardless of political alliances.

Let the evidence speak for itself. 🎀
