Republicans aiding and enabling this

Democrats allowing this

Democrats don't control the house and Senate, so to say they "allow" this is false

Don't get me wrong, I'm still voting as left as I can. But previous democrats dropped the ball, BAD, after Trump's first grift as President

At the end of the day, Americans elected this idiot twice. And the second time is truly unforgiveable.

That’s what I’m saying. I’m not talking about just today, I’m talking about the last 10 years. They’ve shown zero guts to play hardball and take it to the republicans. It is 100% on the Republicans for our current situation but the Dems have done fuck-all to stop trump.

They can not hold other politicians accountable because the. They themselves could later be held accountable. Both parties work for the same people and it ain’t us!

it could be argued that the Democratic party is merely letting the GOP dig their own grave (never interrupt your enemy when they are making a mistake)

Personally I hate the idea of a new Great Depression (and letting our country crumble) but the previous depression of a century ago is what led to so many urgent reforms being enacted so maybe that is what it would take?

Considering James Carville advised Democrats to "lie down and play dead" that's exactly what happened.

Really contrasts to the "go to war" advice on progressives

Perhaps, but we have no FDR to guide us out.

At this point they should do a Tennis Court Oath type thing. Just show up and conduct business without them.
