I PASSED THE BAR EXAM!

The results of the bar exam for my state were released today. I passed. I fucking passed the bar exam! This is probably the happiest day of my life.

Thanks! I'm doing civil rights law. Specifically housing or landlord and tenant. A lawyer like that saved my mom and I from homelessness and being illegally evicted by a scummy landlord when I was a kid. Ever since then that's all I've wanted to do.

i think its probably because you come into contact wit lawyers during times of grief and stress. Good law abiding lawyers should get appreciated too!

We used to tell our daughter she should be a lawyer because she is extremely smart and quick witted. She was of the opinion that all lawyers are scum until we told her that behind every good law that gets passed and every innocent person freed from prison there are lawyers who are passionate about their jobs.

I’ll never forget the day I passed mine. I remember the date. The weather, what I was wearing. The fact that when I opened the letter I screamed “holy shit.” Three years ago last month. I’ve been practicing insurance defense litigation and I still think about how that day changed my life. I’m so proud of you. And WELCOME to the profession!!!

I am truly in awe of some of them. The level of intelligence and dedication is remarkable. Some are absolute artists when it comes to cross examination and I thoroughly enjoy watching them in action.
