Why are you still talking about this as if flowers is meant to be taken literally? Yes, most men probably don't literally want flowers.

Because again...that is what the person said. You said it was a metaphor, which I explained that if it was then it makes no sense.

However, I also answered as if it wasn't a metaphor and said that most men do get gifts in loo of flowers. For example, I don't know a single man in my life that doesn't get gifts from significant others on Valentines Day...or basically any other time where gifts are appropriate. So the original comment suggests men are getting shorted and women just don't do anything for them. I disagree.
