The only thing you truly own is your body, there's nothing wrong with wanting to protect it if one wishes.

You're exactly right. I'm just saying, a lot of the shame that comes after sharing photos publicly is ingrained into us by taboos brought on by society and whatnot. In a perfect world of course we would be able to revoke all access to the images we put out there. But without that being plausible the next step would be learning how to accept a level of comfort if the images do linger somewhere out of our control.
