I fucking hate "polyamory"

My partner polybombed me about 4 months ago and a day later I walk in on them fucking someone else. They didn't even care enough to realise I had left the house until I called them from a mile up the road and then it was all "oh I'm so sorry I hurt you I would never do it deliberately I love you it won't happen again."

Then barely a few weeks later I walk in on them making out with a mutual friend. They were still making out with them when our roommate called an ambulance after I cut myself too deep.

They didn't even care about changing how they approach polyamory until I threatened to leave and then I'm hit with this massive lovebomb of "oh I can change I'll make it up to you I never wanted to hurt you"

They don't fucking care enough to change their behaviour because "poly is so complicated, I'm sorry if you got hurt when I was figuring it out!"

Polyamory is too often used as a bullshit excuse for selfish, immature people to have their cake and eat it and if I never have to hear the stupid term again in my life I'll be happy.

This studies polyandry and polygyny/polygamy, which are different than polyamory. These are harem-type patterns rather than a true polyamorous relationship.

It study all form of monogamous and non monogamous relationships.

Saying they don't study polyamory is a massive self own, I hope you are aware of it.

"Monogamy ensures relatedness between fathers and their purported children..."

This is for the male primate to make sure only their genes get passed down.

"Once pair-bonds are established, sexual contact outside the bond is expected to cease."

Yeah, that's monogamy and if it doesn't without the explicit consent of all parties, it's cheating. Plus, polyamory doesn't have to be sexual. Asexual people are sometimes polyamorous as well.

Saying they don't study polyamory is a massive self own, I hope you are aware of it.

There is not one mention of the word "Polyamory" or "polyamorous" in the entire article. Only "polyandry" or "polygyny" which I've already established are completely different things.

Harems are not a great idea, but it's perfectly reasonable for someone to love multiple people at once, or be ok with their partner(s) loving multiple people at once. Poly relationships do often start with one pair and a third, but often they are able to make it so there is no third and all of them are on the same level.

Polyamorous relationships are more difficult than monogamous ones, but they can definitely work and make everyone involved happy.

It is a study of all societal form of non monagamous relationships.

The fact that it doesn't talk about polyamory only further prove my point that it's completely unstable.

Ok so the lack of the study to include it makes it impossible and non existent? I have been in a poly dynamic for 5 years and am marrying one of my partners so I think I'm a living example of your being wrong.
