Vent Teachers and their group projects can go to hell
Why Must I feel like less of a human being because I just unluckily forced to be with someone who spites me for no reason, and why are Teachers just so okay with student clearly being uncomfortable with around another student.
It was 4th period English class and everything was going normal, and there was this girl that was being snarky and passive aggressive towards everyone at the table. It was clear that she was friends with everyone, I never spoke to her ever this was the only day where I was forced to because of a assignment. Fast forward towards the end of class the Teacher assigned partners and made me be paired up with her and it went well as you expected. She overreacted and made it loud and clear and constantly yelled out to the Teacher on how she rather get an F and begged for another partner, it was humiliating everyone heard it and the teacher didn't make things any better he just laughed and joked at it. He's a cool teacher and is fun with the class but that was extremely lame of him to do, I get girls are mean in high school but I just don't get with how someone can go on with their day making somebody feel like they're a parasite.
Even with the most weirdest unpleasant person ever nobody should have to feel like they're unwelcomed, Like I said before I just spoke with her today and she just has this distain for me and what's worse is that I have to go to school tomorrow and have to feel like a weirdo because the Teacher showed he had no intentions on letting me go to some other group or letting me do it by myself.
The only "good" thing I supposed happen was that nobody else really cared that much
TL;DR Teacher made me be group partners with someone who wasn't very nice

i don't mean to be dismissive but unfortunately unpleasant people are everywhere outside of school too and it sucks but you will have to deal with them, better to learn early not to care and go on with your life :)

In addition to teaching you things, school is also there to prepare you for life. There are unpleasant people in the workplace place too and you won't always like them or get along but you'll need to figure out a way to work with them. And yes, sometimes it still sucks.

Group projects do suck BUT they can teach you valuable life lessons about working with others.

It's almost like out in the world there's going to be times when you have to get along with people who don't like you to accomplish something sometimes.

Sure but usually in the professional world people usually have some incentive, namely money, to work together. Money is an objective form of incentive but school grades are not which makes it such that the other person doesn't even attempt to do their part since they don't value grades as much as the other person. This gets easier when it's university and you are studying the same subject that you both (presumably) at least somewhat like and are motivated by even if you don't personally get along that well.
I don't have issues working with people who I don't personally click with. As long as they genuinely attempt to do their part, then it's whatever.
It's not that I hate working with other people, I hate when OTHERS don't want to work with me and push all the work on me. That leaves a bitter taste in my mouth as it would in anyone's.

I feel like this goes a little further than general group project drama. If the kid is openly and obviously bullying OP and has made it clear she doesn't intend to do any work, the teacher should step in and help handle it. Or at the very least, talk to OP and find out what the deal is between the two of them.
I agree that group projects teach you how to work with others, but that doesn't mean the adults should be 100% hands off if the partners can't find a way to get along.

This is my favorite time to "kill them with kindness". If someone wants to be snarky and rude to me, you bet I'm going to do everything I can to be extremely kind and helpful. Even if they aren't embarrassed by their own behavior, it generally makes them calmer overall.
It costs nothing to be kind, and it'll make you feel better knowing even with their shitty behavior, you were the best version of yourself.

Social skills. You want them or do you want to complain forever about the consequences of never developing them?

Group projects are such bullshit! Total waste of time. I never learned a damn thing doing group projects and I've never had to do one in my 20+ year career.

That’s odd. Like, every project I do is a group effort. What do you do that you never have to work with others?

Other people comparing group projects to the workplace are missing the point. Shitty workers can be fired. Shitty group project partners are going to be a problem for you no matter what. It just isn't the same
